My 2004 Mazda 6s

This site was originally started to detail the journey of my purchase of the upcoming 2004 Mazda 6 5-door (or Mazda6 5-door, depending upon how you write it!) sport sedan. The 5-door is also referred to as the Mazda 6 Hatchback (although Mazda doesn't call it this). There is nothing else quite like this on the road, ever since Saab stopped selling the 5-door versions of their sedans and switched over to purely 4-door cars (in 2003). Bummer, because folks like me need the versatility of a 5-door (otherwise known as a hatchback) without making it look like a VW Golf (ew!).

Because of miscommunication with the dealer I was working with on pricing, I ended up not purchasing a Mazda 6 5-door, but instead purchased the ordinary sedan version of the Mazda 6 from another dealer. I've been very happy with my decision and don't regret getting the regular sedan version for a minute!

The site has also grown to be an ongoing information resource about the Mazda 6 and the Mazdaspeed 6, coming in the summer of 2005. Check back frequently for updates!
