An update to 2006 Mazda 6 Pricing

So while I haven’t gotten official confirmation on this yet, here’s what was recently posted to the Mazda6Club forums:

S-plan pricing (similar to dealer invoice) is as follows:

  • ‘06 Mazdaspeed6 Sport - $26,685
  • ‘06 Mazdaspeed6 Grand Touring with Roof - $28,988
(Roof is $700 - not sure what this means)

The Mazdaspeed6 does not qualify for the ’stair-step’ $500 incentive.

All S-plan pricing is subject to availability. Not all Dealers have to honor it, but if they do, it is set pricing for S-plan purchasers. If you, like most of the world, are just using S-plan as a place in which to deal from, you can of course get a deal lower than these prices. None of this has much use to most car buyers until I get the full option pricing list as well…

This site is to detail the journey of my purchase of the upcoming 2004 Mazda 6 5-door (or Mazda6 5-door, depending upon how you write it!) sport sedan. The 5-door is also referred to as the Mazda 6 Hatchback (although Mazda doesn't call it this). There is nothing else quite like this on the road, ever since Saab stopped selling the 5-door versions of their sedans and switched over to purely 4-door cars (in 2003). Bummer, because folks like me need the versatility of a 5-door (otherwise known as a hatchback) without making it look like a VW Golf (ew!).
