Great news! Got my VIN number as an early Christmas present today!!!! Whooo-hoooo! My estimated production date is during the week of Feb 9th (2004)… They didn’t give me a shipping ETA yet, as Mazda usually has a quality check hold on early cars before shipping.

Many people have asked about pricing. I haven’t got finalized pricing yet, but based upon the dealer’s information, it looked as though prices would be approximately $1000 more (MSRP) than the current sedan. As soon as I have solid pricing on my car, I’ll post it here.

The dealer agreed to sell me the car $500 over invoice. For such a pre-order as this, I believe this to be a good deal for both of us. He knows he’s getting $X commission in Feb/March and I know I’m getting one of the first M6 5-door hatchbacks off the line!
